Butterdon Mill Holiday Homes is a small privately owned family concern.The 12 detached brick built bungalows nestle in a delightfully sheltered wooded valley just 3 miles from Liskeard. Set in 3 acres of private grounds.Butterdon Mill Holiday Homes have the advantage of the peace and natural beauty of the Cornish countryside in an informal relaxing rural site whilst being no great distance from beaches, fishing villages and inland places of interest.Butterdon Mill Holiday Homes is an ideal touring base for both coasts and moors of Cornwall and Devon. Visit the quaint fishing villages of Looe, Polperro and Fowey on the South coast with Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Issac, Padstow and bustling Newquay on the North coast. Sandy beaches can be found at Looe, Tallards Bay and Whitsands Bay on the south and on the north coast Newquay and Bude. For those simply wanting to relax there are pleanty of beautiful walks on the moors and along coastal paths. Or what better than to relax in our mature gardens with a barbecue outside your holiday home.
The bungalow has a comfortable lounge/diner with colour digital tv & fully fitted kitchenette with microwave and hallway to bathroom and W.C. There are two bedroom, one with double bed and the other with twin beds, also a bed settee in the lounge for the larger family, Please phone to discuss your requirements .01579 342636 There is ample parking at the front door of each bungalow.Highchairs and cots are available on request.
There is a laundry and payphone on site.
We have a games barn which provides a pool table, football table, table tennis and darts ( Open from Easter to October). A selection of outdoor games are available and childrens play area with swings.
For the more energetic holiday maker we are only 3 miles from LUX PARK leisure centre which has some of the finest indoor sports facilities in Cornwall including swimming pool, health suite and gym.
Well behaved pets are welcome at no extra cost. Dogs must be kept on a lead, they should not be left in the bungalow unattended & must be kept off furniture.

The ancient market town of Liskeard lies about 14 miles west of the River Tamar, at the head of the Looe Valley. It is an ideal location for exploring the region: to the south, the lovely coves and resorts of the Cornish coasts are waiting to be discovered, and to the north, the vast windswept expanse of Bodmin Moor, with its granite tors and rugged moorland villages. It is located within a few miles of St Keyne, St Cleer, Dobwalls, Menheniot, Duloe, and St Pinnock.
The tin mining industry played an important part in the growth of the town, and in 1828 a canal link enabled ore and stone to be carried down to Looe. This was later replaced by the Looe Valley Line which is now a single track branch line along scenic wooded riverbanks.
This picturesque town boasts many original shop fronts and interiors, and there are many interesting buildings, including a Victorian Guild Hall and Clock Tower, a Town Hall, the Stuart House where Charles I stayed in 1644, and St. Martin’s Church, the second largest church in Cornwall. The town is one of the few in Cornwall still to hold a weekly livestock market, and it also now hosts an excellent sports and leisure centre, Lux Park. Three leisure trails, each with its own blue commemorative plaque, are based in and around Liskeard, and for those seeking refreshment there is a range of restaurants, cafes and pubs.
